Kim Ballantyne – Calm Air International LP

Kimberly Ballantyne fulfilled a lifelong vision and made history in the process. On August 11, 2022, Ballantyne became the first Indigenous female to achieve her private pilot license from her community – Opaskwayak Cree Nation, Manitoba.

Inspiring countless people on her journey. She has documented her entire private pilot license journey on her social media pages: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn.

Kimberly is the Community Engagement Specialist with Calm Air International LP and is currently training for her Commercial Pilot License with Harv’s Air Flight Training. Calm Air plans to get Kimberly on the flight line for summer 2024 as one of their Commercial Pilots.

Kimberly enjoys spending time with her children, daughter Nova (10) and son Leonardo (7). Or, flying a cessna-172 with her Private Pilots License. She works on promoting the education, training and employment opportunities in the aerospace and aviation industry. As she says there are many exciting, well-paying careers in the aerospace and aviation industry.
